Festival Neues Lied – 15-20 September 2025
Neues Lied – a festival for art song founded by Esthea Kruger in 2018 in Germany and established in South Africa in 2022 – returns this year from 15-20 September to Cape Town. The festival consists of several events highlighting the multifaceted beauty of the art song genre: a series of concerts, several masterclasses, and a competition for young art song duos from the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University.
This year's festival takes place in collaboration with Ian Burgess-Simpson Pianos.
